The Wine
The wine is pale straw in colour with an olive green hue. The nose displays complex aromas of spiced pears complemented by white peach, herbal and toasty, nutty characters. The palate is elegant and soft with interesting texture, nicely balanced acidity and a lovely minerality. On the palate there are flavours of white peach, orange blossom, pears, pineapple, preserved lemon, toasted almonds and subtle spice. The length on this Northern Italian varietal lingers with soft vanilla notes. Best enjoyed with spiced pork belly.
Winemaking
Planted on the river flats and refreshed nightly by the ‘King Valley Doctor’—a cooling breeze that cools the vines, enhancing the fruit’s flavour—our Verduzzo is a complex, full-bodied drop featuring bold floral aromas. This rich and dry Verduzzo is truly a red wine lover’s white which makes it perfect to pair with all things spicy. Open a bottle with a Paneer Masala, a Thai yellow curry, or even perhaps some caramelised spicy pork belly— and take your tastebuds to the next level.
