The Wine

Crowning achievement. Roberto Pizzini. Circa 1950. Songs from the mountains, from Trentino, and for hot summer days with new friends. A product of persistence and passion, this Nebbiolo has been selected from our most exceptional sites. A multidimensional palate of dark fruit and five spice. Age up to 20 years.


The fruit selected is grown onour highest vineyard site (350 meters above sea level). The vineyard was planted using a new clone, Nebbiolo 230. Only the best bunches of grapes are harvested for this wine. They are crushed and de-stemmed into small fermentation vats and inoculated with a Barolo yeast which allows maximum varietal characters to come through. The fermentation reaches 30 degrees C for 4-5 days; the wine is then lightly pressed and transferred to new French oak barrels where it ages for two years.
