Whether it be the wine, the food or just the view, the Pizzini family has made their cellar door experience one that you will remember. It is so very warm and inviting, with plenty of room for kids to run around and plenty of wine for you to enjoy. A must visit kind of place.

The Pizzini family welcomes you. The Italian spirit is well and truly captured as visitors enjoy the warm atmosphere, bringing friends and family to taste and purchase wine and produce.

The cellar door and winery are located in original tobacco drying kilns, the iconic architecture of the region, with sweeping King Valley views.

At cellar door you’ll also find Katrina Pizzini's A tavola! cooking school and her cookbook, homemade produce range and some Italian pantry staples are also available to purchase.

Cellar door open seven days 10am to 5pm.

Closed Christmas Day. Open 12 Noon to 5pm

The Mountain View Hotel can be found in the centre of the tiny town of Whitfield in the King Valley, it is owned and managed by the Pizzini family. The Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield has a beautiful country restaurant, well shaded and comfortable beer garden and stylishly renovated accommodation.  

Opening hours

The Mountain View Hotel's public bar and beer garden are open 7 days, 11am til late.

Closed Christmas Day, open Good Friday & Anzac Day from 12 noon til late.


The Mountain View Hotel's kitchen is open 7 days. Lunch is served from 12pm and dinner from 6pm each day.

Getting to Pizzini Wines
Pizzini Wines is located at 175 King Valley Road, Whitfield Victoria.

Be aware of telecoms coverage issues if relying on map for directions

Travel to Whitfield via King Valley Road (also known as the Whitfield-Wangaratta Road) or the Whitfield-Mansfield Road depending on your initial starting point. Once in Whitfield, travel towards the hamlet of Cheshunt. Pizzini is on the left hand side of the road, two kilometres past the town of Whitfield, going south, towards Cheshunt.

Our comfortable self-contained cottage is located adjacent to our cellar door in the King Valley. It features a queen bedroom, a twin single bedroom, large modern bathroom, living room and kitchen with full cooking facilities.

A complimentary country breakfast hamper is included containing eggs and bacon, bread, cereal, yoghurt and fruit juice.

Base yourself at Pizzini Wines and explore the High Country region's food, wine and hospitality. Or don't go anywhere!

Just stroll through our vineyard to the King River for a swim or take a picnic to the top of the vineyard with its relaxing King Valley views.

Bike, barbeque and fishing rod hire are available.
